Submit your vote online. You can vote for one meal per day, per category. The 5 categories are:
- Chicken Parma or Schnitty
- Fish and Chips
- Pork Ribs
Just by submitting your vote, you will go into the draw to win 1 of 100, $100 eftpos vouchers to spend at your pub.

Voting closes on 30th September so make sure you get your vote in before then. We will announce the top three shortlisted venues per category, based off the public vote throughout October.
Harley Breen and a panel of taste-testing experts will travel around the country to taste ALL of the shortlisted meals and pick the winning venue in each category. We will announce the winners throughout October and Australia will then have the ultimate list to our country’s best pub meals as voted by you and Yak Brewing!
Yak Brewing’s Pub Meal Expert
Yak Brewing has partnered with Aussie Comedian, Harley Breen to help choose Australia’s best pub meals. Harley has been a touring comedian for the past 19 years so he’s definitely had his fair share of pub meals over this time. Whether Harley does a show in a regional town or in a metro-city, from his experiences, he knows that he can rely on getting a good feed, a great beer and have a yarn with a local at the local pub.

Fat Yak and Steak
The Yak’s original. Our iconic brew is full of flavour… A big and bold brew just as the name suggests!
Fat Yak’s bold, hoppy notes will add a bit of sizzle to your steak. Its rich, malty mid palate brings out the flavoursome, smooth, rich flavours of any red meat so you know you’re onto a winner here.
Wild Yak and Chicken Parma
With subtle aromas of melon and passionfruit nestled together with new world hops, the flavours in this South Seas Yak sing out like a forest full of parakeets.
Wild Yak’s crisp, tropical taste will make your chicken soar. It’s fresh and a little bit fruity and its crispness perfectly balances the lightness of chicken. Its light palate also matches with mild cheeses. So this infamous combination of chicken and cheese lends itself to a Wild Yak!
Lazy Yak and Burger
A smooth and malty beast, with a light, refreshing finish and lower ABV that’s best enjoyed while doing a whole lotta nothing.

Lumber Yak and Fish & Chips
This Yak is a refreshing chip off the old block. Brewed at our mountainside brewery, this cider delivers a real apple taste that is so good you’ll want to sing from the mountains ‘yak-el-ay-eee-ooo’!
Lumber Yak is fruity, crisp and refreshing. Its light apple notes and subtle flavours pairs well with the freshness and delicateness of fish. But we can’t forget the chips! The clean, crisp finish in this cider will cut through the saltiness of those crunchy, delicious yellow gems.
Rusty Yak and Pork Ribs
As with any family, some characters don’t fit inside the box. The fiery beast of the herd, packed with an aromatic ginger beer punch delivers a great tasting, refreshing ginger beer.
Rusty Yak’s gingery punch will make your pork pop. Pork ribs’ mouthwatering, rich flavours are balanced by the prickly finish of our sweet & spicy ginger beer.
